Estimating Course

Purpose
To provide Redland account-holding customers' staff that have attended the Basic Principles of Pitched Roofing course with a more in-depth knowledge of estimating, to facilitate firmer specifications and increased sales.

Who Should Attend
Roofing Contractors, Estimators and Builders Merchants' staff with responsibility for estimating roofing products/quantities for sales representatives.

Number of Delegates

Six minimum, eight maximum

Duration
Two days

  • Day One: 10:30 a.m. - 16:30 p.m. (approximately)
  • Day Two: 09:00 a.m. - 16:30 p.m. (approximately)
  • Tea, coffee and buffet lunch provided


Dress Code
Smart casual for conference room work.

Accommodation

One or two nights at a local hotel, at inclusive negotiated rates if required. All rooms have private facilities.

  • Plain tiles (roof and vertical)
  • Interlocking tiles
  • Cambrian Slates
  • Fittings and accessories
  • Ventilation requirements
  • Practical survey and estimating exercise
  • Estimating by computer

Demonstrations of:

  • Man made/Fibre Cement Slate/Fixing e.g. Copper disc rivets
  • Slate repair and Cambrian Repair Kit
  • Hook fixings on Natural Slate
