Objectives
To provide Account Holding Merchants or Roofing Contractors' staff with a good understanding of pitched roofing.
To promote confidence in the products and systems through both practical experience and conference room presentations.
Who should attend
Account Holding Directors, Managers, Representatives, Estimators, Sales office, Yard and Counter Staff, Secretarial and Administrative staff. In fact, anyone in a sales function that requires a basic but sound knowledge in pitched roofing.
Number of Delegates
Six minimum, Eight maximum per course.
Duration
Two days
- Day One: 09:00 a.m. - 17:30 p.m. (approximately)
- Day Two: 09:00 a.m. - 16:15 p.m. (approximately)
- Tea, coffee and buffet lunch is provided
Timings
Delegates usually meet for dinner and stay in the hotel on the evening prior to the start of the course. The first day begins at 9.00am and is largely spent on practical work.
Dress Code
Both days have elements of practical and theory. Practical exercises are carried out on model roofs in heated workshops. Delegates should wear comfortable working clothes and their own safety boots if possible. Safety boots are available for loan for the duration of the course.
Accommodation
One or two nights at a local hotel, at inclusive negotiated rates if required. All rooms have private facilities.

- Lay concrete interlocking tiles on gable to gable roofs
- Cloaked Verge and half tiles

- Dry Ridge
- Mortar bedded ridge and dentil slips
- Nails, clips and Reform Eaves Filler Units
Demonstrations of:
- Concrete and Rosemary Clay Plain tiles and plain tile fittings
- The Redland range, including fittings and accessories
- RedLine Vents
